It’s February! And that means Valentine’s day is right around the corner. Tis’ the season of love. or hate to some. But for those who hate Valentine’s day, they may have something to that. According to a chart comprised of Facebook relationship statuses, the most popular times of the year for relationships to end is a few days after valentines day and before the holidays in November and December; Crazy right? it’s a good thing we have found a lady lennia to help guide us and give us sound advice on relationships. Meet Ciara Eddings!

Please explain your expertise in the dating world.

I am not currently in a relationship.  I’ve had very unique experiences in the realm of love and relationships.  I have insight on everything from online dating and blind dates to long distance and interracial relationships.

Are you in, or have you gone to college? If so, when did you graduate or what is your expected graduation date?

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Apparel Merchandising and Product Development from Bowling Green State University in May 2011.

What has been your biggest struggle in achieving your goals? How are you overcoming it?

In this day and age, it’s clear to see that for a young professional woman, nothing comes easy.  I don’t believe there is a person in the world that hasn’t seen their fair share of hardship, oppression, or adversity.   It has always been said that what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.  In my life, I have found this to be an undeniable truth.  Every struggle, every naysayer, and every road block on my path to success, has made the journey all the richer.  I have also found that perhaps the loudest naysayer has been myself.  My own doubts have come close to derailing me completely, almost causing me to give up.

When you’re biggest oppressor is yourself, it’s important to tread water carefully.  I in no way want to doubt my own intelligence, intuition, or instincts; but it is important to take notice when my mind may in fact be playing tricks on me.  The best way to overcome self-adversity is to be open to second opinions.  I never keep anything 100% to myself.  Every word I write, every idea I have, every plan I hatch, gets run by someone else.  If I had any doubts, or if I feel myself on the verge of scraping something completely, the voice of my mother, or of a close friend normally steers me in the right direction.  Self-adversity is best quelled by being able to take a step back.  Once I have removed myself from whatever has consumed my mind, I can finally see that there is no reason to stop or give up.  I can do anything I put my mind to, even if I need to take my mind off of it for a little while.

 What inspires you?

When I take time to really think about what has truly inspired me, what has truly stimulated my mind to the point of creation, I am inundated with images of my past, my present, and my own visions of my future. That being said, what inspires me most, is my experiences.  I know that each day I exist and interact with the outside world, I am contributing to something bigger.  That thought alone drives me to deliver results.  I want my contributions to these experiences to be meaningful and substantial.  If they are, maybe they will inspire someone else to try for the same thing.

What would you write about for the blog?

Why would you make a great Lady Lennia for the Love and relationship  edition?
