Everyone knows that laughter is the best medicine. These busy days of our 20s and 30s can be stressful, so it’s important to keep laughing. Thankfully, there is so much humorous content online! We’re going to look at some of the most popular humor blogs that will absolutely tickle your funny bone.

While everyone has heard of hugely popular sites like Cracked, Funny or Die, and The Onion, maybe you’re looking for something new. So, here’s a list of the most popular humor blogs you should check out!

1. this is not that blog

Our first pick is a blog full of adorable, hilarious comics accented by personal anecdotes. It covers any and all topics, from interacting with strangers to making life decisions. Every post is so #relatable, especially to Millennials! I have spent a ton of time scrolling through the blog since I discovered it.

If you love the humor of this is not that blog, I’d recommend reading Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh. It’s an incredibly popular book that also features dry humor and comics that every Millennial can identify with on some level. Buy it here!

 

2. Pleated Jeans

Pleated Jeans is great because it finds funny stuff on the Internet (photos, YouTube videos, and more!) and posts about it multiple times a day. If you visit this site on the regular, there’s no chance you’ll miss out on the latest online hilarity.

Jeff Wysaski, the owner of this blog, also writes his original content, which I think is even better than the stuff he finds!

3. The Bloggess

Jenny Lawson is The Bloggess, a queen of dark humor. Despite combating mental illness, she finds the humorous side to everything in life. This makes The Bloggess an excellent role model for others with mental illness, so if that’s you, I especially urge you to check out her blog.

If you love The Bloggess’s combination of humor and discussion of mental illness, I’d highly recommend reading No Really, We WANT You to Laugh! It is a compilation of six people telling their story of combating mental illness through the art of standup comedy. 4. The Think Tank

This blog is run by Donna Irwin, a self-proclaimed “blogger, rocker, pessimist, and humorist.” Her pessimism is apparent in her blog’s subtitle but does not dull her humor. Her blog is the place where she posts funny content based on the average experiences of her life.

The suggested post below is relatable for all Millennials who feel like a child trapped an adult’s body. (I’m going to take a guess and assume that’s a lot of you.)

5. Not Always Romantic

Hopefully, if you’re in a relationship, you’re with someone who makes you laugh. This blog is a compilation of submitted stories about those funny relationship moments from all over the world. Full of honesty and hilarity, these anecdotes are sure to make you chuckle.

My favorite part is that they are LGBTQ+ inclusive! I love that the site recognizes all romantic relationships. If you’re in a relationship, I’m sure you’ll relate to some submissions.

7. Cake Wrecks

This blog is a similar format to Passive Aggressive Notes, except it features cake decorations gone wrong! A husband and wife pair runs the site, and even their banter on the site is funny. Every Sunday, a guest blogger, Lindsey Allen, posts a Sunday Sweets article. I’m telling you, TLC’s beloved Cake Boss would be horrified with these cakes.

If you want to avoid these decorating mistakes (or maybe take a chance at ending up on Cake Wrecks yourself!), you should invest in a cake decorating book. I think that A Complete Photo Guide to Cake Decorating is one of the most helpful ones out there, especially if you’re a beginner. This one is an oldie but a goodie. The birthplace of “lolspeak” and so, so many memes will also bring an abundance of smiles to your daily life.

This next blog has a great mixture of funny and serious posts. When writing about a serious topic, blogger Alex still manages to lighten up the subject with a bit of humor.
