How to Get a Health Check-Up Without a Doctor’s Appointment
Preventive care is important to living a healthy and happy life. For many in our community, sometimes we have to make the tough decision between paying critical bills or our health care needs. Lucky enough, CVS/pharmacy cares about the health and well-being of its customers and is now expanding their annual Project Health campaign.
What Is Project Health?
Project Health is an awesome way for those who are uninsured or underinsured to come into the store–no appointment necessary–to get a free health screening. Throughout the rest of this year and early into 2016, customers can stop-in and receive a free 1-on-1 consultation with a health care professional. All health screenings include:
- Body Mass Index
- Blood Pressure
- Glucose
- Total Cholesterol
What Does Project Health Provide?
Besides getting the free screenings and confidential 1-on-1 consultation, all attendees will receive a free tote bag along with a $5.00 coupon towards CVS/pharmacy brand products. Resources on diabetes and information on how to quite smoking are also available.
My Project Health Experience
I never miss a chance to get my health all checked out, especially for free. I won’t bore you with too many details, but I am very glad that I was able to go to the Project Health event. I was able to get in and out without a long wait (long lines drive me insane). I was able to get the information that I needed–and some that I wasn’t expecting. Like how CVS provides help with quitting smoking addictions! All in all, I give project health a thumbs-up for doing something great! CVS/pharmacy is doing awesome things in thousands of communities nationwide by providing preventive services and accessible healthcare for everyone, no matter their walk of life. Project Health is one of the many reasons why CVS/pharmacy has been and always will be a valuable community resource.

I didn’t even know CVS had this – thanks for letting me know. I don’t’ think I have ever even been to CVS except a couple of times.
I have never heard of this kind of thing before so this has been really good to know and has put my mind at rest!
I love CVS for this very thing! And the specials the do 🙂
I have been to a minute clinic and I love them. So convenient!!
We have a couple of these. One minute clinic in CVS & one at Walgreens. We go to Walgreens because it’s closer.
I think this is a great idea. Everyone should have access to healthcare without going into the poor house.
