When was the last time you laughed all the way through a movie? It doesn’t happen very often, but with The Heat you will be guaranteed a lot of laughs. Every scene has multiple jokes that are enhanced by the great, quirky acting skills of Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy.

Sandra Bullock plays an uptight FBI agent who puts promotions over people, and Melissa McCarthy is a Boston cop who plays by her own rules. After they are forced to team up to find a drug overlord, things get a little hairy. They find themselves in dangerously ridiculous situations that have them at each other’s throats, until they realize how good of a team they are.

The Heat has the same director as Bridesmaids, Paul Feig, and there are noticeable similarities in the comedy. I enjoyed both of them, but I think I laughed more all the way through The Heat. Sandra Bullock’s acting is, as always, spot on and makes the character more fun to watch. Melissa McCarthy is able to stand with her in the spotlight, making them a great comedy duo.  While the storyline is somewhat predictable, the barrage of comedy thrown your way easily overshadows that. I would definitely say this is a must see this summer.
