I had the opportunity to try an Anora quilt and it changed my perspective on redecorating in the bedroom. But let me say that my boyfriend loves quilts. Mostly because they are more lightweight, and if he doubles up on quilts and gets hot at night he can lose one for perfect temperature. The other benefit of this is if it gets too hot in the summer in general a quilt is usually more lightweight than a comforter.
Although my boyfriends reasoning for practicality was solid, I still was not sold on quilts, until I saw how many beautiful designs they can come in. There is something very unique about the designs of a quilt. They make a great colorful addition to a comforter set or can be a beautiful bed spread. But the quilt that really caught my eye was the Cotton Kantha reversible quilt. It is a handmade with organic cotton soft & lightweight so you can use it as Bedspread or a throw blanket. Here is my review for this quilt.
The quilt came in only a couple of days and I was so excited to open it. The packaging was pretty cute when I opened it. I am always a fan of good showmanship in a package so was excited to see the scroll and business card in the box. Just adorable.
My boyfriend and I decided to use the quilt instead of the comforter seeing as it is getting warmer in Texas and thought this would be a nice change of pace. The cotton is pretty soft and the design is just as beautiful as it is in the original pictures. It was very lightweight I must admit, but with the sheet makes it warm enough to sleep under. The quilt is pretty big and can just as easily fit on a King size bed and it fit on our Queen size.
One of my favorite parts about the quilt is that it is reversible so if we wanted to switch up the pattern or put it in our guest room instead we could definitely do that and give the room a different look. I think the plain black and white also looks good if you wanted to layer it under another comforter in the house. It could also double as a throw. I love having items in my house that can be used for several different occasions, and this quilt is one of those such items.
So the best part about Anora Cotton quilts? They are offering an exclusive discount for Miss Millennia Magazine readers until July 5th! Just go to Anoracotton.com and use the discount code Mill101 and you can expect to receive 20% off your entire purchase. I am pretty sure that the Anora quilt will be our replacement comforter set for the summer and will be our decretory quilt for our guest room after that.
I have to say that I was so impressed with the quality of this quilt and would recommend it to anyone. The price is right and it's just practical to have a quilt around for your bedroom, guest bedrooms, or just to cozy up on the couch and watch movies. Whatever your use is, I am sure it will get plenty of uses. Enjoy your quilts!
