Affirmations exist to help us feel positive as we look ahead to the future. Seeing as it’s the start of a new year, there’s no better time to write out some affirmations to help you get through the next twelve months.

I will look after my health.
Health is such an important aspect of your life. If you look after all aspects of your health, you will grow as a person in multiple ways. For starters, looking after your physical health can help you feel more confident.
You look better, which aids your mental health as you start feeling good about yourself. You have more confidence to go out there and do things that you wouldn’t normally do.
This could mean plucking up the courage to ask someone on a date or finally having the confidence to start your own business. Regardless, it all stems from looking after your health and living a healthier lifestyle this year.
I will not be taken for granted anymore.
Sadly, many of us are taken for granted all the time. The worst thing is, we don’t even realize it until someone points it out to us. Most of you will associate this with relationships; you’re with someone who doesn’t truly appreciate you or thank you for all that you do for them.
But, this is also so relevant to your career. You could work many hours a week at a job where you work your absolute socks off. In fact, you work so hard that the nagging back pain you feel every evening is probably a work injury, but you let it slide.
Why? Because you’re a hard worker that doesn’t like to make excuses and always wants to be productive! Unfortunately, your employers don’t seem to acknowledge this at all. Have you ever had a raise? When was the last time you even heard the word ‘promotion’?
Actually, when was the last time you even heard a word of praise from your boss? Make 2022 the year you stop being taken for granted at work. You will stand up for yourself and ask for a raise or promotion. If you don’t get it, you will find a better job or career where you are finally appreciated!
I will set myself goals for the end of the year.
Affirm to yourself that you will set goals to achieve by the end of the year. If you want to grow as a person, you need to think about key parts of your life to improve upon. Again, this can be health-related.
You can set yourself a goal of running a marathon by the end of the year or losing a certain amount of weight. Either way, it gives you something to aim for, which you then set smaller goals to ensure you reach the main one.
There are other goals you might want to set – like financial ones. You can tell yourself that you will save x amount of money by January 1st, 2023.
From here, you will work out how much money you need to save every month to achieve this. Goals will help you on your journey throughout the year, bringing more structure to your life. As a result, you can look back on the year after ticking off your various goals and feel like you’ve grown and accomplished something.
I will be happy in my job.
This is closely linked to the idea of not being taken for granted, but it’s more to do with your overall happiness at work. You might have a job that treats you well, but you aren’t enjoying it. For whatever reason, you aren’t happy to wake up in the morning and go to work. Sure, you might not be a morning person, but even when you’re at work you don’t really want to be there.
Instead, this is the year that you decide to chase happiness. Think about your career and what you really want to do with your life. What makes you happy?
What are you passionate about? Consider these things and go from there to find a career that will truly put a smile on your face. These affirmations are designed to get you in a positive frame of mind in 2022.
