Instead of watching TV, now is the perfect time to get out of the house to give you something else to do besides eat. Meet with friends for a stroll or sign up for some great group workouts. Swapping your TV time for something more active can be hugely impactful on your lifestyle and be just the thing for successful and permanent weight loss. Now TV can be recorded, watched on demand, or even viewed on our smartphones. You have no need to sit on the sofa to catch up with your favorite show. Watch it while you walk on a treadmill instead!
Eat on Smaller Plates
If you have previously enjoyed large portions, it can be hard to be happy seeing only a fraction of the amount of food on your plate. You can trick yourself a little psychologically by dishing your meals up on a smaller sized plate. If it fills the plate, it looks like there is plenty of food there. Other ways to enjoy smaller meals include drinking a mouthful of water before every bite. Some say this can help digest it more easily too. This way, you will not gain the weight back by eating too much.
Get Some Exercise
Losing weight can be distressing. Having surgery can certainly be an effective way to change how you see food. But you will need to add activity to your lifestyle so you can tone up and achieve the figure you want. No matter how old you are, gentle exercise like walking really can make a huge difference. As your shape changes and you become lighter, you can improve your posture and start to enjoy different activities more and more.
