The holiday season is great for spending time with family and exchanging gifts, but it’s also great for giving back. There are many causes that one can give to. One thing that I think we can learn from the ALS Ice bucket challenge earlier this year is that social media can really make a difference when supporting a cause.
UPS is currently working on a project that will help different organizations get funding. The campaign is from November 10, 2014-December 31st, 2014. To participate you post a wish on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #WishesDelivered and your wish will automatically be delivered. For every wish delivered UPS will donate $1 to one of their charity partners up to $100K total donation.
When it comes to the type of wish that will be counted it has to be one that is meaningful and for someone else. Miss Millennia Magazine will be giving a wish of their own this year and hope our readers will join in participating as well! We wish that homeless women and children will be able to find a warm place to stay this holiday season.
Winter is pretty harsh for the homeless. Being a woman and homeless is not only tough, but very dangerous.
Continue the holiday cheer by submitting your own wish on Twitter or Instagram with #WishesDelivered and sharing them with you in a blog comment. Don’t forget you will be giving to charity by participating.
