I’ve always found it odd when I hear people say they’ve never won anything. And I always think really? In my short years lived I’ve won A LOT. I mean, I always win things. I won a bracelet on Facebook a few weeks ago just for liking a company page. I won an iPod for completing a paid survey. I even won an Apple TV just by showing up for more information at a conference. Now, before you start thinking “you’re just lucky,” I want to say I am of the opinion that winning all the time is of my own doing. Let me explain.
Believe you will win, and you will prevail
I am a firm believer in the law of attraction, where a thought guided by positivity will come to be. Now, note that I have never been one to say “I never win anything”, as you can probably tell from the paragraph earlier. And I believe that not making this statement is one reason I always win. Instead, I exclaim and brag that I win all the time, and guess what? I continue and will continue to win all the time. The same thing goes for anyone who is a believer in winning. If you believe you win, you are already closer to winning than the negative nancies who believe they will never win. Focus on the thought of winning with positivity, and you will begin to win more and more.
Focus on your wins, not on your losses
Now I am not saying I win every time, I definitely lose sometimes. I wish I would win the lottery (maybe that wish will come true one day too), but I do not focus on not winning. I only focus on when I do win. Every time I win something, I think to myself, “Again? Man, I am the winner.” Sure it drives my friends nuts when I brag about how often I win, but I urge them to change their thinking. Don’t get upset with me for winning. Instead, think to yourself, ” Man, it’s gonna be great WHEN I win too.” Now that’s thinking like a winner. And when you think like a winner, you are one, and you will win…over and over again. One quote that I’ve always loved is by Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Win as if you were used to it, lose as if you enjoyed it for a change.” I couldn’t have said it better myself!
Count your winnings (blessings)
Now applying this concept to the rest of your life, in what ways have you already won? Do you have a college degree? Win! Are you in a happy relationship? Win! Do you have a good relationship with your family? Still winning. Are you healthy? Are you happy? Do you have a job? Have you accomplished a goal? Win, win, win, win. It’s all in your perspective. Winning is an ideal that first starts with you. If you believe you are a winner in your life, you win. When I hear people say they’ve never won anything, I think “Really?” Perhaps they forgot to count. Once you realize in all the ways you’ve already won, focus on those winnings, and stay positive, you will win. And the winner is…YOU!
