How To Make Your Black Friday BrilliantWhen you go out on the biggest shopping day of the year, you want to spend your money well. Make your Black Friday brilliant! It only comes around once a year after all. Shopping on Black Friday is not like any other day—you need to prepare ahead of time.

Especially this year, with the pandemic threatening our health and safety when shopping in person, it’s important to do your research and be ready for this day.

Here are some useful tips and tricks to make your Black Friday brilliant.

Research On Social Media First

This is a good rule in general, no matter what time of the year it is. But with black Friday comes greater pressure, and that means you need to be prepared. A few weeks before Black Friday start pulling your list of social media accounts for Black Friday specials and any sale or coupon announcement. If you regularly follow certain accounts on Facebook, you will also start receiving targeted ads from them, which will make your life a lot easier in terms of planning.

Make a List

When you go shopping for groceries, you make a list, right? And before you start with the “not always” argument, I will bet my bottom dollar that at some point you have made a list before going shopping. Compare that experience to going shopping without out a list, and you will soon realize that you spent more money on things you didn’t need or want when you went shopping without a list. Jot down a list of the things you really need or want and use that to make the best purchasing decisions.

Invite a Friend

Not shopping by yourself is a lot more fun than going alone but taking a friend with you hold other benefits too. It’s easy to cover more ground by having more access to more products, and a friend can also mean a built-in buddy system, to help keep you accountable in sticking to your list!

Keep in mind, though, that it’s important to follow health and safety guidelines, as we are still in the middle of a pandemic. Make sure the friend you invite is already inside your “COVID bubble,” wear masks, and adhere to social distancing rules.

Get Your Store Accounts In Order

There are many other ways to get access to the inner workings of your favorite retailers. Signing up for store specific newsletters or other accounts is a great way to find out what is going on there. You will likely also get an insider look at prices before Black Friday comes around.

This will give you the advantage of knowing what the regular prices are, which will prevent you from being duped by insignificant or unethical discounts in the long run. Another bonus to consider is that shops often make special deals available to those who subscribe to their newsletters. This is a great extra layer of knowledge to add to your arsenal of Black Friday preparation!
