I owned an infant optics monitor for a couple years, (from what I hear that is a long time for them to last). I recently moved and set up the infant optics monitor in my son’s room. I turned it on and the screen started having an imprint of an image on it that would not go away. I decided to replace it.
I was never a big fan of the infant optics monitor quality anyway, so I looked around. I found this monitor, looked at the other reviews, saw the price and ordered within 5 minutes! (I never do this because I always research for hours before I invest in something, especially at a cheaper price point). This was the best impulse purchase I could have made! I am so happy with it!! The night vision is great. There is no “pairing” process, it just auto connects. The camera quality is awesome and it is easy to install and has a great view. The night vision is fantastic. I love that I can zoom a bit with this and still have a pretty wide angle without having to switch lenses (like you have to do with infant optics). The battery life is great (lasts more than a day off the charger something I never got with the infant optics. I was lucky to get 6hrs). The range is awesome and works in every room in my house plus outside my home around the exterior. I just wish I had replaced the infant optics one sooner. I am even thinking about getting another one to keep in my living room and to have a second monitor downstairs that can hook up to both cameras!
In summary: You can’t beat this monitor for the price, quality, features, plus prime shipping. Don’t waste money on the infant optics monitor. For reference, I purchased the monitor May 2024 and used it for about a week before writing this review.

Reliable Baby Monitor with Slight Design Flaws
I recently purchased the HelloBaby Upgrade 5’’ Baby Monitor to keep a watchful eye on my little one, and overall, I'm very pleased with its performance. The monitor offers clear video and audio quality, which really helps put my mind at ease, whether it's during naptime or throughout the night.The 5-inch display is impressively sharp and provides a broad, clear view of the nursery. The camera itself is easy to adjust and can be remotely controlled to pan, tilt, or zoom, ensuring that I can always get the best angle on my sleeping baby. Additionally, the night vision feature works wonderfully, giving me a clear picture even in total darkness.One of the standout features is the two-way talk function, which allows me to soothe my baby with my voice from another room, a convenience that cannot be overstated. The range of the monitor is also quite good, maintaining a strong and clear signal throughout most areas of our home.However, there are a couple aspects of the design that could be improved. The monitor lacks physical volume buttons on its front or sides, which means adjusting the volume is less intuitive than it should be. To change the volume, I have to navigate through a menu, which can be a bit cumbersome, especially in the middle of the night or when I'm in a hurry. This design choice is a slight inconvenience and detracts from the overall user experience. Additionally the noise sensor light at the top is super annoying; I had to put black electrical tape over if because it is constantly flickering due to the white noise machines in the kids' rooms.Despite this flaw, the HelloBaby Upgrade 5’’ Baby Monitor is a reliable and feature-rich device that offers peace of mind to parents wanting to keep a close eye on their babies. It's easy to set up, and apart from the volume control issue, it's very user-friendly. I give this product four stars for its excellent monitoring capabilities, though a small redesign could easily make it perfect.
