Just got these today. I used the size chart and had my husband measure both feet and ordered the 7.5-8. I was skeptical because I normally wear a 9.They seemed to fit a little snug at first, but not overly so. They pass the two finger test. Still need some breaking in.Took walk around the neighborhood for just under a mile. Felt some pressure in the Achilles tendons at first, but that seemed to ease up quickly. And my back didn't bother me during or after the walk.After my walk, I took the insoles out, and that seemed to make a world of difference in the fit for me. I'm going to try them without the insoles for tomorrow's walk.This is my first pair of "barefoot" shoes, and based on today, I think I'm going to love these. Great intro shoe if you are wanting to try this style before shelling out $$ on other brands.Replaced the laces with silicone bungee laces for some added color and convenience.

These shoes are very comfy and flexible with a wide toe box. They seem fairly well made. My only complaint is that there's elastic around the ankle which is really tight and uncomfortable and I don't have big ankles. I'm sure it will keep pebbles out of the shoe which will be helpful but I've only had them on 10 minutes and my ankles are already irritated there. It's a bit more of a slip on sock type shoe than I initially realized when I purchased so be aware that it's really not adjustable the way a normal sneaker is. I purchased for the gym so I'll keep them because I'm not planning on wearing for long periods of time but I think the elastic would bother me too much to wear all day

I have recently discovered that my feet HATE narrow toe boxes. I love my onclouds but was looking for something different. I saw these and wanted to give them a try. All of the reviews seemed really promising. I received my shoes yesterday and immediately put them on. They seemed really comfortable. I took them back off with the intent of wearing them today to my kids field day. After putting them on and walking around my house for a few minutes, I started to question how big/ wide they made my foot look. My feet also started to get pretty hot so I took them off. After looking at the shoe, I realized they were two different sizes. So, maybe they will be better for you but this was my experience.

It’s just day 2 but I like them. 76 with foot problems: Mind you I wear orthotics (Arch Molds). Permanently damaged ankle, two broken small toes, Morton’s and corns make it painful to walk around. Flip flops at home, toes are vulnerable to banging furniture and I kick them off all day; solid sport shoes too stiff, heavy & hot and hurt for home all day. These are in between, not too light not too heavy: protect toes and provide support. IMO they run a bit small. I’m a 9, returned for a 10 and they fit well that includes room for my orthotics and socks. Give them a try. They’re stable enough for me at home.

I am a barefoot Vibram wearer and my favorite style was discontinued so I found this. It is not a five fingers style shoe, but has a very roomy toe bed so your toes can move around and do not feel cramped or squashed when going downhill. This shoe is super comfortable for hiking and I feel it runs large not small as per the other reviews. I am a 9 pushing 9 1/2 womens (but have a narrow foot) and it is almost too big for me, so I just wear a sock and it's fine. Also, without a sock the upper mesh lining catches your toe nails (due to the roomy toe bed) so socks are necessary. Overall I enjoyed my first hike in these shoes and recommend. Also good price.

I’m adding to my original review below…I’ve worn the dark grey ones for a few months and the size is perfect. I ordered the all black ones to have another pair but the style is a bit different and they are a snugger fit. Still awesome, but I recommend going up a size if you are buying the all black style. I will be returning them and purchasing the next size.

I’ve been a barefoot distance runner for years running in the Merrel Trail and Vapour Gloves. They changed the design and fit of those shoes and they were no longer comfortable. After I broke a bone in my foot, I feared barefoot running was over for me.
I decided to give these a try as they seemed to offer a touch of extra padding under the big toe (where my injury was), while still maintaining a barefoot feel. I found them true to size with extra room in the toe box…which is necessary when barefoot running as your toes need ample room to splay naturally without feeling confined. This was an amazing feature compared to the Merrel barefoot shoes which are VERY narrow. They are very much a barefoot shoe but offer a slight amount of cushion under the big toe and heel which make your feet very happy. They are breathable and don’t smell at all. I recommend airing them out after each run…meaning don’t keep them sealed in a gym bag or cupboard and you won’t have any issues. I have never worn socks (which you shouldn’t in barefoot shoes) and have accumulated about 150 miles worth of running in them in the last 4 months. They don’t smell AT ALL and they look brand new! I couldn’t be happier with them. I’ve never gotten a blister or formed calluses as I have in other barefoot shoes. The interior is nice and soft. The price point is the cherry on top! Half the price of other barefoot shoes on the market!!
I’m buying another pair to add to my collection.
Don’t hesitate to buy these because they are inexpensive, they are a quality and comfortable barefoot shoe!!

I got these when I couldn't find the same model of barefoot Merrell running shoes that I had before, chancing it that a much cheaper pair might be OK.

Initially I didn't like them as much, I thought they were rubbing slightly on the outer side of one foot. (This is my larger foot which was as a result of a calcaneal fracture years ago). But having stuck with them, I now love them. I have wide feet, and can be anywhere between 6 and 7, but I ordered 6.5 and they are great (though 7 would probably have been fine too). I always wear them with trainer socks.

They are so comfortable. I think the sole is more foot shaped than the old Merrells, which is good. The bottom is slightly thinner, I think, but still thick enough that stony paths are not hurting the bottoms of your feet.

I do loads of stuff in these, from dog walking, to running, to long hilly hikes. No problems at all. Obviously they would not be great in very wet, muddy, or boggy conditions, but having said that, I got my feet soaked in them stepping in a bog on the moor top, and they didn't rub despite still having 2+ miles to go. When running, they will make you run toe to heel without thinking about it, which means your knees do not take as much impact.

With having had a serious foot fracture and uneven posture for years, I really think barefoot shoes have helped me strengthen my bad foot, because you have to use your feet muscles more (sometimes consciously), and not be reliant on the buoyancy of regular trainers. The extra effort has helped me to even out my posture, and even up the size of that calf muscle in comparison to my other calf.

Barefoot trainers typically have thinner soles than regular trainers, which means they will wear out quicker. Which means you will have to replace them more often. Which means that I'm happy with the lower cost of these, compared to Merrell's barefoot shoes.

Having worn barefoot shoes now for the last 2 or 3 years, I wouldn't go back to normal trainers. I would be very happy to buy these again when the soles wear out. I would recommend, even if you only want them for slobbing around the house, they are really comfy!

Also, I think they would be fine if you put them in the washing machine, though I've not tried that yet.
