Pros -The color matches photos and blends with my furniture! Dense press-wood so its sturdy and holds lift off section. Worthwhile purchase. I am happy with finished result.Cons -Assembly. Agree with some other reviews. The body was well done; however, the lift off section was incomplete and had incorrect holes. Tools I had to use : Tape measure for dimensions, marker or lead pencil to mark on dark wood, square to line up holes, right angle screwdriver or stubb screwdriver to install spring piece, and power drill to start the holes because you will break the screws otherwise. Strongly recommend the manufacturer to place pre-drilled holes in the lift off section and base for buyers.Labels. The made in China and Hand Hazard labels are very noticeable and take work to remove.

I love this table! I wanted to replace my old table after buying all new furniture and rearranging things I decided my table wasn't going to work anymore. I wanted something smaller to fit this space better and something that could help get rid of some clutter. This table did both. It's more narrow and shorter in length than my old table so it fits better plus it has become my new junk drawer as you can see from the photos. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars for 'Easy to assemble' because they didn't give a good indication of witch way to face the brackets onto the table top therefore the last step became very confusing. I assumed I could use the pre-drilled holes in the compartment bottom (you can) but when I did the lid was off center when closed. After lots of doing things wrong and getting frustrated thinking the predrilled holes were wrong I realized I put the brackets on backwards. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars for 'Sturdiness' because even though it's not made from solid wood it does feel pretty strong due to the design. Also the design hides the hardware very well from the outside so it looks very nice. I gave it a 5 out of 5 stars for 'Value for money' because this table could've costed more and I would've still bought it and would still be happy with it. It was a steal in my opinion! I would recommend this table.

Q: What's worse than instructions with broken/poor English? A: Instructions with no English, or any words at all. It makes assembly time way longer than need be. It wouldn't be so bad to follow if the graphics actually matched the product but graphics are poorly drawn. I found myself scratching my head at several points. What should have been less than a 45 minute project turned out to be every bit of 2.5 hours. But, once I did figure it out, it's a nice table, sturdy, pieces do fit together nicely. Worth the money. If you buy this, assembly is not fun. I usually don't mind weekend projects like this, but this one was a pain!

So i bought this for my 4 yr olds play area. It looks good, it’s sturdy and it wasn’t so bad to build. I subtracted a star bc the top does slam down hard even when I’m gently trying to put it down. Since it’s for my 4 yr old i added 2 things. 1- felt pads to prevent slamming and 2- a handle so it’s easier to lift up for her. I made it kiddie friendly. I’m excited to have it. It’s a good product for the price
