While marketed mainly as a phone holder, which I think would do a good job with too, I needed something that’ll hold a radar detector in a more inconspicuous way and not be an eye sore.
I’ve had a suction cup type before that worked okay but it had a clamp and my device would essentially “float” and could fly off if I braked too hard. But since this is magnetic, it held it in place. There are two magnetic rings that are included.
The magnetic rings are really the key. It’s thin but wide circumference. I think because of that, it feels more stable while not difficult to pull off when needed (like if I’m ever stopped by an CHP - hey don’t judge! I’ve gotten tickets before going the speed limit, with dash am proof!).
The height is adjustable too. So if I’m in an area that’s more laser gun enforced, I can raise it up a little. But really, by then you’re done for regardless.
This holder did the trick. It’s a lot less bulky due to the magnetic mount. And the 3M adhesive is industrial grade, but apparently removable if you ever need. It’s so much less an eye sore with it being attached to a dash area than on the window.
I might get a second one to actually put my phone. This holder is slick and looks great on my Tesla Model 3.

Rock Solid Holder n Amazing Customer Service!
I had this phone mount for about a half a hr and the part that attaches the magnet to the rest of the holder broke. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new one.....and it has an upgraded system that uses a ball which seems way better! And they told me that I have a LIFETIME WARRANTY! like who does that?! That's amazing!!Anywhos I just installed it and it feels rock solid so I can easily recommend it!
