Step 1: As you would with all our Spackle Primers, pump one to two shots on the back of your hand. Step 2: Blend a thin layer onto clean skin before makeup application. For best results, really massage product into your skin and allow the formula for about one minute to fully absorb before applying the rest of your make-up. I recommend this for people with dry skin and/or using a powder formula foundation. The product is generous size in a high quality pump container. It is smoothing and hydrating. You can tell the quality by how silky it is. I feel the tightening effect after my skin has a couple of minutes (2 to 4) to absorb it. I wait for that before applying foundation. I wait with creams in general.

This formula is gentle and moisturizing. It readies the skin for the powder. In my past makeup regimen, I used a mattifying, tinted silicone primer that reduced pores but left a pronounced layer on my skin that suffocated the pores. This primer truly lets the skin breathe lots of air, which is healthier for it. It won't clog pores and the air helps blemishes heal faster.

There will always be those people that want "shortcuts", but the real beauty shortcuts are good sleep, lots of water, protection from the elements like sun and wind, and good ingredients for what you put in and on your body. When skin has a good smooth base, you can always add as much or as little color onto that as you like. With my prior full coverage primer, my pores felt congested. With this product my skin feels very natural.

Lastly, I like the bright green container because I remember which step goes first, like green means go to the next step, and it's easy to locate in my bag.

When my pores were congested in the past I couldn't use night creams because they sat on the surface layers of skin and clogged more. With a redo of the products I am using, I can now use a moisturizer at night and it will take. The middle layers of skin can receive the moisture.

I wanted to try this primer because I'm a senior and was looking for something that would help my liquid foundation not look all cakey and stick in the wrinkles under my eyes. I thought since this was specifically made for aging skin I would have better luck. It did nothing more than what my regular primer does. I prefer my normal Ulta primer that goes on silky. This one goes on like water. Even though it says it's tinted, it goes on clear. I can't tell that there is any color to it whatsoever. Price wise, it is cheaper than my normal primer that I pay $18 for 1 oz but I think I will go back to my old primer after I finish this one.

Laura Geller makes an incredible primer! The tinted ones are my preference and at certain times of the year, wear them all alone. The tints give just enough glow or healthy look that you don’t even need foundation over them. I do a pump of champagne and a pump of bronze and mix together for a super natural glow.
