To start out, I have combination skin on my face, from my eyes and above and my nose is very oily, below is dry. I have a difficult time finding skin products that moisturize the dry half without making the upper part of my face and nose look and feel like a grease pit.

The Brickell Daily Defense Face Moisturizer works perfectly for me. It is not scented, I like this, too many men’s products have strong fragrance, when you use a few different items at the same time, the overwhelming fragrances can compete against each other. It is not greasy upon application, it goes on smoothly, it does not make my oily skin oilier than it would without the moisturizer. The dry part of my face feels smooth and refreshed, and not dry or itchy. The effect from this product keeps my face fresh all day. The SPF 20 is an added bonus, I feel it is important to provide some sun protection on your face. Excessive sun exposure will damage your skin and cause premature skin aging. My test for the sunscreen effectiveness; I applied this product before a day of skiing. After six hours on the slopes, I am happy to report, no burning or excessive tanning.

I highly recommended this product, it is the best of both worlds, a quality moisturizer and SPF protection.

I’m glad that they finally came out with a daily face lotion that has SPF protection, as this was one area Brickell was previously lacking in. This product pairs extremely well with the Daily Essential Face Moisturizer; this one for the day (due to the SPF protection) and the Daily Essential Face Moisturizer for the night.

The sunscreen works into your face well and doesn’t leave white marks. However, there is more Octisalate than Zinc in the formula which isn’t ideal but a better chemical sunscreen option than many out there. I like the smell as it is pretty mild, and it is thick but works into the skin well. I think it works great for everyday use but if I was playing golf or outside for a long time I would probably use my Centella SPF 50. A little pricey too in my opinion but you do get a lot of product and I think it will last a long time.

Very poor design and Ill suited bottle for use

I purchased this product for the first time and while I have not formed a judgement yet on the actual moisturiser (though it seems ok though It has a slightly chemical scent) what would probably prevent me from purchasing this again is the poor design of the bottle it comes in. It’s pretty expensive as the bottle is quite small and so you only need to apply a small amount. However, due to the rigidity of the bottle you have to squeeze quite hard or shake it quite stridently to get anything out. Then of course half the contents come gushing out and so you spend the next 10 minutes trying to get the excess back in the bottle. Otherwise it has cost you $25 to moisturise your face! Poor design of the packaging it should be a proper squeeze tube that you can control the flow better.

This moisturizer SPF is great. It's very light on the skin and dries in quickly.
Probably the best thing about it is that it's non oily, which is rare in an SPF moisturizer.
