How to Strategically Make Significant Income From Survey Sites
One of my stories favorite stories to tell is how I earned enough money with surveys in college, so I did not have to work. I was making between $200-$500 per month with survey sites. This is not a ton of money, but high-rolling for a college student trying to get by.
One thing I think people fall short with survey sites is that you have to be strategic. You have to make it a habit to get work done. I was lucky to have a friend who was just as determined as I was. So we kept each other motivated. I want to share my secrets with you today on how I did it.

Set Up an Email Just for Surveys
This is probably one of the most important steps you can do. When you sign up for survey sites, they are going to email you…A LOT! Do not make the mistake of flooding your personal email with a bunch of survey notifications. Set up an email account solely dedicated to your surveys.
You will thank yourself for this once you see how many emails you get. Once you set up the email account next is time to sign up for some survey sites.
Sign Up for the Right Survey Sites
When I first started doing surveys, I cannot tell you how many times I signed up for the wrong sites. If a site is asking you for your credit card information or social security number it probably is not a legitimate survey site. Unfortunately, I learned this the hard way.
There are some sites out there that pay you big bucks to sign up for a free trial of something. But if you forget to cancel before the trial period, it can end up costing you way more than you were paid. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these.
The three sites below are legitimate high paying survey sites that send you a good amount of surveys to complete. You can sign up for these by clicking the links below:
National Consumer Panel: This is a cool site because they send you free things to try before they are released, and you get points for scanning your grocery receipts that can be used to get cash back. They also send you surveys to get cash as well, but they are very selective about who gets in. Sign up for them here (finger crossed).
Global Test Market: I like Global Test market a lot since they send you a good amount of surveys. When the other exclusive sites are not sending me as much, I can expect a good amount of surveys opportunities to come from Global test market. Sign up for them here.
Pinecone Research: I saved the best for last. Pinecone research was my favorite survey site. Their surveys are short and pay well (at least $3.00 each). And the more surveys you complete, the more they send you. They are also a very exclusive group, and typically are looking for specific demographics at a time. If you are between 18-24 and live in the US, this link is for you!
If you are looking for more legitimate survey sites to join, check out my article called Make Extra Cash with these 7 Survey Sites. One thing I’ve learned about doing surveys for real money is that you want to ensure you are getting enough surveys. So the more legitimate survey sites you sign up for, the better!
Use Sites That Pay You for Downloading their App
Now I know this article is about completing surveys. But there are a few sites you should be aware of that pay you money every month just by signing up and downloading the app on your phone. If your goal is to bring in consistent income each month, signing up for these sites below are the way to go.
Neilsen Computer and Mobile App: This app will pay you about $50 a year per year just from downloading the app on your browser and mobile device. Plus they send you surveys to earn more points in exchange for cash and gift cards. You can sign up here.
Set Aside Time to Work on Surveys Consistently
Now, this is the hardest part of completing surveys. The appeal for surveys is that they can be done at any time. On the elevator, waiting in line at Starbucks, or watching TV. If you seriously want to make some real cash with surveys, you need to set aside some designated survey time every day.
I find that the easiest way to do this is by pairing it with something you already do. Do you watch TV for an hour a day? That could be a good time to do surveys. One of my favorite places to complete surveys is on the treadmill. Find a time that works for you, and I say dedicate at least 1 hour to completing surveys daily.
Set an Income Goal
Lastly, set a goal for yourself. Make it reasonable but something that is a bit challenging. Shoot for $50 -$100 to start. Create a google doc with your goal and a way to track how many surveys you complete each day. What gets measured, gets managed. And setting goals and having a tracking sheet is an excellent way to not only hit your goals but to know where you stand with them at any time as well.
I hope this helps you hit your survey income goals! If you have any strategies of your own that you’d like to share, please do so in the comments!
