For the last 10 years we have lived in a house with low water pressure and used an oxygenic shower head (we tried their hand held and their rainshower heads) in the effort to increase the water pressure. The Wantba High Pressure Shower head is like a dream in comparison. The pressure is much higher and the shower feels amazing, even on extra low pressure days or if my husband is using the sink while I'm showering, which used to make the pressure lower. Now we shower like regular people (yay!!!) and it feels like being in a spa for us. Our only concern is that hopefully it's not sucking more water through the head somehow and draining out tank because we live on water catchment (which means we catch rainwater off our roof and it's stored in a big tank and that's the only water we have for our whole house). If we notice a big drop in our water level I'll write a comment here in the next few months, but as of now, it's just been heaven! I have no idea what this shower head will feel like in regular water pressure houses, but I'm assuming even better and truly like a spa. I also don't know how long it will last before it clogs up inside (that's why I replaced the last rainshower head from Oxygenics, which I had had for 7 years), but so far, this product is awesome! And supposedly you can open and clean it, but we didn't see any instructions on how to do that so I'm skeptical about that part. But I almost want to buy a few more to store away in case they don't sell these one day Bc it's been a completely worthwhile purchase for us!
The other really interesting thing and actually even more noticeable than the pressure, is that it ALWAYS used to take about 5-7 solid minutes for the shower to heat up and I always had it on its highest heat to shower. Now it heats up in 1-2 minutes and it gets scolding hot on the highest setting so I actually have to turn down the temp. That is a fascinating difference since we changed the shower head, and consistently different this way. That means we are actually saving water in our tank. When we'd be low on water before (no rain, no water) I'd actually jump in and take cold showers just to not waste water and finish off with hot water right by the end of my shower. Now it's already warm as soon as I start the hot water (this has never happened in 11 years of living in this house, definitely not in the 10 years we had the other shower heads) and within 2 minutes, maybe even 1 minute, it's literally super hot. Like too hot. Like scalding hot. That is remarkable. I don't understand the mechanics of the shower head, but I'm guessing the Oxygenics may have been cooling the water down while it added air pressure... I don't know. I feel badly because we did have the old Oxygenics rain head for a long time so maybe it was just clogged, I don't want to slander it, but this Wantba head seems a million times better and the heat change I just mentioned is definitely new.
I know 99% of you don't live on catchment, but hopefully my review will be helpful and applicable to your needs and I wish you all happy showering! I'd buy and recommend this product in a heart beat and I hope it lasts and doesn't cheap out on us. I've been shopping on Amazon for pretty much everything I buy for years and years (and only written maybe 10 reviews total. I know I suck because I count on reading everyone else's to buy everything, but this shower head is so great I had to write a review about it) so I'll promise to update when it actually starts to crap out on us. So if you don't see an update it means it's still going strong!
