I was very skeptical about this purchase. I have heard soon much about how the battery doesn't last a full day, it is slow and so on and so on. I had decided to get a regular watch as I am a watch guy and at when I couldn't pick out one I liked at the last second I came back and pulled the trigger on the Apple Watch.

First the battery depends on how you use it. I have had the watch for 2 weeks. I use it as a watch, fitness tracker, texting, timer, weather and occasionally other things. I am getting 2 days currently on a charge. Put it on at 6:30a in the morning and don't take it off until about 9:00p during the week, weekends longer. If you are going to use if for data intensive apps that could be done on the phone I am sure that it would drain it quickly.

I don't really use my iPhone apps on it. If I need to look at a photo I am going to use the phone for that. I have used Siri a couple of times and Shazam to tag songs in the car with no drain on battery. Also, in the car, I took a phone call for about 3 minutes and it was a drain on the battery but not huge, few percent points. If you don't plan on constantly using data intensive apps I think you will be happy with it. I was so skeptical about the battery life that I was googling which watch faces used less battery. I have tried most of them with apps that continuously update and there is not a noticeable difference.

For example. I have worn two days in a row as I write this without charging. It is about 8:15p and have had it on since 6 same as yesterday and I still have 36%.

It has been so much more useful than I ever thought.

I love being able to reply to my texts on my wrist. It sounds like such a menial thing but it is addictive. I can reply back ok, or even dictate before I would have been able to get my iPhone out of my pocket. I didn't know how much I would use it which was another thing that kept me on the fence. The ability to take a call is another perk. I didn't even know that it had that feature. Great for commute. My phone fell in the floorboard and wife called to ask me to pick up the kids. Watch worked perfectly. Here is a surprise, the phone feature is not as good as the iPhone's phone capabilities. Seriously, it is a watch. I feel like negative reviews are people expecting it to be an iPhone.

It compliments the iPhone. Just like there are things I would rather do on my Macbook than on my iPhone, there are things I would rather do on my iPhone than on my Apple Watch. But the surprise is I am already addicted to the many things I can do on my Apple Watch. I am glad I pulled the trigger and took a chance.

At first, I used to be against the Apple Watch. Are used to think it was a $350 convenience fee to avoid taking your phone out of your pocket. After wearing it for four months, I have learned that it does just that. When I did not realize before, however, is the value of that convenience. Being able to see who is calling, texting, snapchatting, etc., all from your wrist has a lot of value. It can make you seem rude in certain social settings such as school, dinner, etc. One of the great things about the Apple Watch, compared to other smart watches, is its inclusion of a speaker. Having speaker on your watch allows you to talk with someone who is calling on your phone, which is really nice if your phones in the other room and you don't want to walk over and get it. Being able to do this also prevents you missing math very important phone call that you need to pick up. Another advantage of having an Apple Watch that I have found is the ability to pin your lif being able to do this also prevents you missing math very important phone call that you need to pick up. Another advantage of having an Apple Watch that I have found is the ability to ping your iPhone. every time I lose my iPhone, I always ask someone call it, which gets him every time I lose my iPhone, I always ask someone call it, which gets annoying. Having this feature eliminates my need for someone else to call it, as the piercing noise allows me to find it very easily, even if it is under thick bedsheets or couch cushions. Some people have complained about battery life, but in my experience battery life has not been an issue whatsoever. No matter what, the Apple Watch lasts throughout the whole day, with about 45 to 40% left at the end. It also charges reasonably fast, using a very awkward magnetic charger. I highly recommend buying a stand as it will make charging your Apple Watch much easier. While Apple doesn't officially claim that this watch is waterproof, I have had no problems with water. I have showered with it, swam with it, (in a pool, the beach would corrode it) and washed my hands with it. After all of this, the speaker still works fine and everything functions perfectly. However, I do not recommend deep diving with it, as the pressure will ruin the speaker and the rest of the watch. Overall, the watch has stood the test of time and still looks fairly new even after four months of use. The recent price drop only makes it much more worth it, especially if you have the plus iPhone model. If you have the money, this is well worth Apple gadget that you will find is very useful and extremely beyond what you may have originally thought.
